What documents are required to obtain a family residence permit in Türkiye?
- Online appointment from the Ministry of Immigration website.
- Health insurance for persons over the age of 18 and under the age of 65.
- Four biometric passport photos for applying for residency.
- A new version of the rental contract prepared by a notary public in the presence of the tenant and the property owner (additional documents may be requested from the property owner, such as a copy of the title deed).
- A photocopy of the passport, visa, and latest entry stamp (don't forget to bring the original passport to the appointment date).
- A copy of the passport translated into Turkish and notarized.
- Payment of the required residency fees, which vary according to nationality.
- Tax number, obtained from the Turkish Tax Department.
- A copy of the first three pages of the Turkish family book, a copy of the foreign family book, or a foreign family statement translated into Turkish by a sworn translator and notarized.
- Two passport photos of the Turkish citizen spouse or foreigner holding a work permit.
- A copy of the social security certificate for the husband or wife, whether Turkish or foreign, with a work permit.
- A non-conviction certificate may be required for the husband, issued from any country.
- An address certificate may be required for the husband, issued from any country.
- A non-conviction certificate may be required for the foreign citizen from his or her home country. It must be certified by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then authenticated by the country's embassy or consulate in Turkey, and then by a local authority. It must then be translated into Turkish by a sworn translator and notarized.
