Student residency in Turkey is one of the most important types of residency in the country. Earthquake insurance for the property on which a real estate residence is to be established, or what is called in Turkish (DASK).

- A copy of the title deed on which the residence permit is to be issued (title deed or certificate)

- The apartment address details and linking it to an official document with the apartment owner. This document is called (NUMARATAJ) in Turkish and is issued by the municipality to which the property belongs. It is preferable to apply for it during the morning work period before 11 o’clock so that you can obtain the document on the same day.

- A document proving that the property is still in the name of its owner and has not been changed. It is called in Turkish (TAPU AKTIF KAYIT) and is issued by the Land Registry to which the property belongs. Note: Currently, there is an electronic system through which you can obtain this document without going to the Land Registry, but the information must be updated and the title deed information linked to the Turkish residence number after it is issued.

In some cases, a birth certificate from the home country is required, authenticated by the home country's foreign ministry and then by the consulate in Turkey. A certified translation is also required, along with notary public certification and the Turkish governor's approval, depending on the city of residence.
