University of the Republics
It is a public university in the city of Sivas, Turkey. The university was founded on February 9, 1972, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic. The university's motto is "I love the Republic." It comprises 16 faculties, 5 high schools, 13 vocational schools, 4 institutes, and approximately 12 research centers. It has 53,712 undergraduate and graduate students. The current president of the university is Professor Faruk Kocacık.
The university is located 5 km from the city center of Sivas, and its campus is very large.
