Istanbul Gelişim University (İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi) was established as a private university in Istanbul. The university was established in 2008 by the Gelişim Education, Culture, Health, and Social Services Foundation as a vocational school. Initially, students were educated at this school, and in 2011, it was established as a university. The university began with six faculties, two educational schools, and two vocational schools. Since then, the university has expanded and grown over the past ten years to become one of the most important newly established universities in Türkiye. The university ranked first in the number of majors offered in Türkiye.

The university offers approximately 57 undergraduate programs across three faculties, three graduate institutes, and four schools for various two-year specializations. In addition, 27 master's programs and six doctoral programs are available. Istanbul Gelişim University offers a wide range of academic majors and programs in various fields. Majors include economics and administrative sciences, engineering and information technology, arts and design, social sciences and humanities, health and medical sciences, and many others.
