Sanko University was established in 2013 in Gaziantep. It is a private, non-profit higher education institution. Sanko University is officially recognized by the Council of Higher Education. About the university's educational level
The Faculty of Medicine is one of the first three faculties of Sankö University, whose establishment was approved on June 18, 2013. During the preparation process initiated by the University Board of Trustees in December 2013, the duties of the deanship were carried out by the founding Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sinav, until Prof. Dr. Salih Murat Akin, who was selected from Istanbul University as the founding dean in accordance with Article 40/b of the Higher Education Law, officially started his duties on April 1, 2014.
