Manisa Celal Bayer University
Manisa Celal Bayar University was established in Manisa in 1992. The university's name is derived from Mr. Celal Bayar, a companion of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Kemal Atatürk, and the first civilian president of the Republic of Turkey.
In its early days, the university provided its services through three institutions: the Higher Institute of Accounting, the Youth Sports Academy, and the Institute of Education. The university was officially inaugurated on July 11, 1992.

The university's rector is Prof. Dr. Kemal Çelebi, and his assistants are Prof. Dr. Bilali Habashgümüş, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Tepekaya, and Prof. Dr. Birol Kovancılar.
