Bizmialem Foundation University was established in 2010 by the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey as the first private university focused on health sciences. The university's faculties include the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Institute of Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

With its own resources and a focus on education, research, clinical studies, and branches of health sciences, Bizmialem Foundation University aims to educate students who can meet the needs of the times, respect the differences in their countries' values, raise the standard of health for all, and compete globally.

The campus is located in the heart of Istanbul, in the Aksaray/Fatih district, and covers an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. Among the distinctive features of the campus are its historic buildings, well-maintained green areas, clean and safe environment, easy access by public transportation, organized traffic, and recreational facilities. A new campus will open in Hasdal in the coming years, covering an area of 350 acres.

At the university, where there are countless cultural, artistic, social, and sports activities, the Culture and Literature Club, the Travel and Events Club, the Photography Club, the Turkish MSIC Club, the Cinema Club, the Theater Club, the Anime-Manga Club, the Music Club, the Social Development and Responsibility Club, and the number of student clubs, such as the Medical Research Club, which add color to university life, is increasing day by day.
