Işık University is one of Turkey's most distinguished private universities. It was founded in 1996 by the Feyz Schools Association, one of the oldest educational institutions in Turkey. The university aims to transform scientific knowledge into a source of production and is distinguished by an administrative and executive approach based on talent management.
The university comprises several faculties and schools. The main campus is located in the Şile district of Istanbul, on the Black Sea coast, and includes the faculties of Engineering, Science, Arts, Architecture and Design, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and a language preparatory school. Another campus is located in Maslak, which houses two graduate institutes and the Faculty of Fine Arts.
