Ordu University, a modern university, was founded in 2006 after several faculties and institutes were separated from the Nineteenth May University and Karadeniz (Black Sea) Technical University. It is the first public university in the city of Ordu, located in the central Black Sea region. Despite its modernity, its academic staff, deeply rooted in the educational process, has made it one of the best scientific universities in Turkey.
