You must apply for a Turkish visa at the Turkish consulates and embassies in your country of residence or home country. Generally, to apply for a Turkish visa, you must:
- Book an appointment at a Turkish embassy, diplomatic mission, or affiliated office.
- Passport valid for more than six months.
- Travel insurance covering your flight.
- Recent passport photos less than six months old.
- Flight reservations compatible with the visa.
- Hotel reservations compatible with the expected time of entry into Turkey.
- A non-conviction certificate from your home country or country of residence, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Leave of absence from your workplace, a work permit, or property or vehicle ownership documents as a valid reason for returning to your country.
- A salary statement or bank statement for the last three or six months, depending on the country from which you are applying.
It generally takes between one and six weeks to receive a response to a visa application, and the applicant has no right to question the reason for rejection. Some embassies require prior appointments to receive a Turkish visa.
