When am I eligible to apply for family residency renewal in Türkiye and what are the required documents?
Holders of various residency permits, including family permits, are eligible to renew their residency permits within the last 60 days of their Turkish residency permit validity. The documents required to renew a family residency permit are as follows:
- Online appointment via the Ministry of Immigration website.
- Health insurance for persons over the age of 18 and under 65.
- Four biometric passport photos required for the residency application.
- A Turkish civil registry or address verification document.
- A photocopy of your passport, visa, and last entry stamp (don't forget to bring the original passport with you on the date of your interview).
- A copy of your passport translated into Turkish and notarized.
- Payment of the required residency fees, which vary depending on your nationality.
- A tax number obtained from the Turkish Tax Department.
- A copy of the first three pages of your Turkish family book, a copy of your foreign family book, or a foreign family statement translated into Turkish by a sworn translator and notarized.
- Two passport photos of the Turkish citizen spouse or foreigner holding a work permit.
- A copy of the social security certificate for the husband or wife, whether Turkish or foreign, with a work permit.
- A non-conviction certificate may be required for the husband, issued from any country.
- An address certificate may be required for the husband, issued from any country.
- A non-conviction certificate may be required for the foreign citizen from his or her home country. It must be certified by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then authenticated by the country's embassy or consulate in Turkey, and then by a local authority. It must then be translated into Turkish by a sworn translator and notarized.
- A birth certificate may be required for the foreign citizen from his or her home country.
