About the service
The concept of sworn translation:
A sworn translation can be referred to as a legal and official translation that is certified by a notary public (NOTER). The document is signed and stamped by a translator sworn to the notary public. A sworn translation is characterized as being accurate and correctly translated from the original document and that the document has an official status. Certified translation services can include legal documents including (passports, high school certificates, university certificates, transcripts, and many other official documents).
Types of translation by language:
Turkish = Arabic, and vice versa
Turkish = English, and vice versa
Turkish = Russian, and vice versa
Types of translation on demand:
1. Interpretation
This is a direct translation in the presence of a foreigner. Foreigners often need it for their tourist or medical trips, or to carry out many legal tasks and procedures within governmental and non-governmental institutions in Turkey. It may be necessary to deal with a sworn translator exclusively when dealing with the judiciary and courts, when necessary. The competent Turkish authorities usually provide this sworn translator.
2. Written translation
This is for translating papers, documents, personal and official papers, and even ordinary documents. It may be performed by a sworn translator if you are authenticating the documents after they have been translated by a notary public. However, if the translation is for ordinary letters or publications, the translator does not necessarily need to be sworn.
3. Simultaneous translation
It is specific to translation at conferences or official meetings, and requires working with linguists in both languages to ensure the translator's quick wit and ability to translate promptly, accurately, and without errors.
Notarization of documents
The concept of notarization of documents is the stamp placed by the entity issuing these documents or its representative in order for the Turkish state to recognize them and make them an official document approved by all its institutions, whether governmental or private.
Documents need to be certified by a notary public
The authentication seal from this issuing authority is considered an acknowledgment of the accuracy of the information contained in the documents and their approval. The Turkish state then authenticates these documents. In the absence of the seal, the Turkish state does not authenticate these documents.
How to translate your documents in Türkiye
Translating documents in Turkey is not a difficult task. You just need to go to an accredited translation office, where the translator must be sworn in and certified by the Turkish government. Then, submit the document to be translated, along with a copy of your passport, or any other identification document with your name written in English or Turkish. This ensures that the letters between your name and surname on your ID card or passport match the letters in the document to be translated. Sometimes the translation is completed on the same day, or it is postponed until the next day. Some offices offer a translation and certification service, meaning that the office takes the document to the notary public's office and certifies it there, and then delivers you the translated and officially certified document before the notary public in an official and legal manner.
