Establishment of a university
University of Higher Specialization
The University of Higher Specialization was established in 2015 with a Faculty of Medicine enrolling 51 students. The first class of students is expected to graduate from the Faculty of Medicine in the 2020-2021 academic year. In 2016, the Faculty of Health Sciences began offering departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Documentation and Medical Secretarial Studies. In the 2019-2020 academic year, Yuksek Ihtisas University entered a larger and more robust phase, adding four new programs to its Faculty of Health Technology and two to its Faculty of Technical Sciences. These programs are: Biomedical Device Technology, Optics, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Medical Marketing and Promotion. In the Faculty of Pharmacy, a Computer Programming and Pharmacy Services program was added.
