Sabahattin Zaim University was founded in 2010 by the Foundation for the Propagation of Science, which was established during the Ottoman Empire under Sultan Bayezid II.

Sabahattin Zaim University is considered one of the most beautiful universities in Türkiye. It is a conservative, trilingual university, offering every student the opportunity to study one or two languages free of charge.

About the university's educational level
The university comprises approximately seven colleges, most notably the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the College of Business Administration and Administrative Sciences, and the College of Health Sciences. These colleges offer approximately 34 undergraduate programs, 57 master's programs, and 20 doctoral programs.

Student housing at the university
A building was added to house the largest university library in Türkiye, which includes a large mosque inside. In addition, the university contains a number of faculties, laboratories, conference halls, basketball and handball courts, gymnasiums, tennis courts, and a fitness center.
