Çukurova University is a public university located 5 km from Adana city center. It was founded in 1973 after the merger of the Faculty of Agriculture, founded in 1969, and the Faculty of Medicine, founded in 1972, which were part of Ankara and Atatürk Universities.

About the university's educational level
Çukurova University is located in Adana, a city on the banks of the Ceyhan River, approximately 35 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, in south-central Anatolia. Although Adana does not have the famous archaeological and tourist attractions of some other major Turkish cities, some ancient archaeological sites can be found in the city, reflecting the influence of the many civilizations that have lived there throughout the ages.
