Establishment of a university
Hacettepe University
Hacettepe University was established as part of Ankara University in 1954. In 1957, the foundation stone was laid with the opening of the Institute of Child Health and a university hospital. The institute began its operations and training in 1958. Over the years, the university expanded, opening several faculties, and in July 1967, its establishment was officially announced as an independent university.
