University of Kyrenia
The University of Kyrenia (KU) was established in Kyrenia, one of the most beautiful historical cities in Cyprus, in 2013. The university received official approval from the Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and accreditation from the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation and Coordination Council (YODAK) on March 19, 2013 in accordance with Law No. 33/2006-12.

Girne University
Scientific research is a priority for the university, and its strategic plan includes support for faculty research projects. The university provides financial support for faculty members' attendance at conferences and scientific meetings and supports the publication of its staff in prestigious scientific journals to promote academic progress. Currently, the university funds four important research projects that contribute to the development of knowledge and modern technologies.

The University of Kyrenia holds a prominent position as one of the region's leading educational institutions, playing an active role in the development of the region and the country. The university comprises three graduate schools, 14 colleges, two academic schools, and four vocational schools, offering a comprehensive range of 63 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. The university is already expanding its efforts and programs for the future.
